Munya Specialized Resorts is the first of its kind in Jordan, a world-class environmentally friendly eco-resort. It contains private lodges, hotels, a sports center, and a conference center. It was designed to showcase the rich local culture and distinctive natural environment surrounding Dibeen. Unfortunately, even though construction works were completed, Munya Resorts never went into operation due to financial difficulties suffered by the company in charge of managing and operating it.
Located in Um Uthaina, Al Bateel Store opened its doors late 2020. With a 90m2 store front area including a 20m2 back of house, the renovation and completion of this store took place in 4 months. Al Bateel sells the finest quality dates and therefore the quality of construction work and finishing must be of top quality. With a beautiful design by Kinnersley Kent and superior finishing quality by AJC, the shop is truly a spectacle for the eye.
This SOS complex for orphaned children is located in the residential outskirts of Aqaba. It comprises eight family houses, a staff house, an administration building, a guest house, and the village director's residence. All are planned around a village square and are connected via pedestrian paths, gardens, and alleyways. Vaulted archways lead to shaded courts, and gardens surround the buildings. Facilities are shared with the local community, namely a kindergarten, a supermarket, a pharmacy, and a sports hall, all close to the main road. The project was a recipient of the 2001 cycle of the Aga Khan Award for Architecture.
